For those environments that require chemical resistance, full stainless steel construction is the right scale. For corrosive and hazardous environments, stainless steel is preferred as it provides extra strength and also resists corrosion. Though stainless steel may be initially costlier than welded steel and aluminum, it is cost-effective in the longer run. However, where corrosion is unlikely, floor scale made of welded steel should suffice. The cost of welded steel is less compared to stainless steel and aluminum.
Needless to say, it is important to asses properly the weighing requirements and the features needed before selecting the right floor scale so that it enhances the productivity of the industry and eliminates delays that occur during weighing operations.
